Railway train travels to Yorkshire. Dining car. Steam train puffing along track, upland, dale scenery in background. Railway station, platform thronging with people, carriages lined up on platform. Woman in hat carrying newspaper enters compartment marked "smoking", followed by man in suit and hat, who shuts door. Carriages along plarform seen by moving camera, guard walks along platform. Railway lines leading straight ahead, flat farmland with trees on either side of track. Rural landscape seen from moving train, fields, woodland. Man and woman seen seated in dining car, waiter serves escallopes ? To woman, she turns to speak to man, they both smile. Man takes mouthful of food, has 30's brylcreemed hair, woman holds knife and fork. Station seen from moving train, rows of terraced houses and gas tower. Coming into station, platform 9, large glass covered roof.
