UK delays HS2 decision
The UK Government is to again look at the £32bn 100-mile high-speed 2 (HS2) rail line between London and Birmingham, and may consider drilling a 1.5-mile tunnel under the Chiltern Hills.

The California High-Speed Rail Authority in the US has recommended a preferred route for the Merced to Fresno section of the state's 800-mile high-speed train system.
