The dispute between Italian open-access high-speed operator NTV and infrastructure manager Italian Railway Network (RFI) has taken a further turn after NTV took out full page advertisements in the Corriere della Sera and Repubblica newspapers on July 9 calling on the government intervene.

TWO ETCS balises were ceremonially installed at Airolo on the Gotthard line on Friday 13, marking the start of a five-and-a-half year programme to install balises at 11,000 locations covering the entire Swiss mainline network.
