New York MTA opens Dey Street entrance of Fulton Street station The New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) has opened the new Dey Street entrance to Fulton Street Station in Lower Manhattan, New York, US. 
      
Heijmans to build Eindhoven station tunnel in Netherlands
Dutch infrastructure firm Heijmans has won a €32m contract from ProRail to build the new Eindhoven station tunnel in the Netherlands. 
      
Mermec to provide track measurement to QNS&L line in Quebec
Mermec Group has won a contract from Iron Ore Company of Canada (IOC) to supply a track measurement system for monitoring the Quebec North Shore & Labrador Railway (QNS&L). 
      
ST Electronics wins Chinese rail electronics contracts

BAHRAIN is aiming to complete its rail masterplan which includes mainline connections to neighbouring GCC countries Saudi Arabia and Qatar as well as plans for metro, light rail, and monorail systems by the end of the year..

TRIAL operation began on October 8 on the 921km high-speed line linking Harbin in northeastern China with Changchun, Shenyang and Dalian on the Bohai Straits. Commercial operation is expected to start at the end of the year.

MILAN Transport (ATM) has awarded AnsaldoBreda a €210m contract to supply 30 six-car trains which will replace older rolling stock on metro lines 1 and 2.
