High speed rail is in the news again! This time in the President's budget - $47 billion! This is the kind of numbers we need to be investing in HSR across America. China is investing well over $400 billion!! We have a lot of catching up to do.

California Governor Jerry Brown is heading to China for a HSR trade mission, and to ride the new fast trains. Also in California, the Transbay Tower - on top of the new San Fran high speed rail station - now has a face. Designed by Cesar Pelli, the new tower will top out over 1,000 feet, and be the tallest building west of the Mississippi River.

Also in the news is the Heritage Foundation in a hypocrisy bust, practicing exactly the opposite of what they preach to everyone else. There's also big news of a new survey that shows a majority of Republicans support action on climate change, and renewable energy! It appears its only some Republican members of Congress acting on their own as they
fight to block solutions and high speed rail. The majority of their constituents want it built. Meanwhile, Amtrak continues breaking ridership records again, which has been happening now for nearly a decade! See stories below...
