"We have now launched our appeal for funds for the major cast steel stretchers.
We expect the patterns to cost about £16,000 alone so we have set the target at £50,000 to include the machining. This will be in the printed media in January, SteamTube gets there first! We expect this to be a full 12-15 month exercise as only one part can be cast at a time as the pattern is modified for each stretcher, thereby reducing the patterns costs considerably, and spreading the time so allowing us time to achieve the financing."
