Rio Tinto plans autonomous rail network in Western AustraliaRio Tinto has unveiled a A$518m ($558m) investment plan for a project to run an automated long-distance heavy-haul rail network in Western Australia.       
                   

Czech Republic floats tender for EU corridor rail projectThe Czech Railway Infrastructure Administration (SŽDC) has floated a CZK7.5bn ($400.2m) tender to lay a new track between Rokycany and Plzeň in western Bohemia.       
                   

Hima-Sella to provide UK rail line with communications control system
UK-based systems integration company Hima-Sella will deliver a new operational communications control system (CCS) for the Central Line.       
                   

Alstom to deliver additional Regiolis trains to FranceFrench state rail operator SNCF, on behalf of the Pays de la Loire Region, has placed an order with Alstom to supply five Regiolis regional trains from the Coradia Polyvalent range for about €25m.
