150 Years of the Cork to Cobh Railway.... 12th March 2012

It is 150 years since trains ran between Cork and Queenstown (now Cobh)...10th March 1862 was the auspicious date in Irish railway history.

Today, 50 train services daily, and 550,000 passengers per year, indicate the importance of this short line.

In 1980, the author lived in Cobh, and was able to take a few photographs on a return journey to Cobh...
