Audit uncovers Yuan 491m fraud on Beijing - Shanghai HS project
IN a report released on Monday, China's auditing authorities claim that Yuan 491m ($US 78m) was embezzled from the Beijing - Shanghai high-speed project. The audit of the line, which began operations last June, was conducted between June and September 2011 and found several irregular practices in the construction and management of the project.

SNCF inaugurates rebuilt Paris St Lazare station
GUILLAUME Pepy, president of French National Railways (SNCF), today marked the completion of 10 years of work when he inaugurated the rebuilt St Lazare station in Paris. With 1600 trains and 450,000 passengers a day, St Lazare is the second busiest station in France.
