King's Cross station new Western Concourse is Britain's biggest new railway building for decades. Architect Simon Goode of John McAslan + Partners explains the rationale behind the design of the half dome steel roof, while Vinci's Simon Jenks explains why the contractor went overseas to select German steel contractor Seele to fabricate and build the 18m-high structure.
