32 Days to Railfest 2012....... 1st May 2012

32 years ago, on 11 August 1980,  the Tyne and Wear Metro opened  for full public service with the first section from Haymarket to Tynemouth via South Gosforth and Four Lane Ends, the first British  conversion from heavy to light rail.
