The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway ‘on-air’ for reopening..

If you can't make the re-opening celebrations on Tuesday 30 October, you will at least be able to follow the event on Radio Winchcombe 107.1 live on-air or online.
Like the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway, this excellent community radio station is volunteer-run. Once only broadcasting for short periods it received its full broadcast licence from Ofcom early this year, having beaten off stiff competition from other potential broadcasters in the region. It has been on-air full-time since 18 May 2012 on 107.1FM.

Crossrail has marked a major milestone in the construction of London’s new rail line with the lowering of a 550 tonne tunnelling machine into a 40 metre deep shaft in east London last night (Thursday), ahead of the start of tunnelling for Crossrail’s eastern section of the new rail line.
