
Today's railway news includes Japan's love affair with Thomas the Tank Engine, and with the maglev
system,(an offer to fund the Us maglev project is in the offing.....)
Speaking of the US, the California High Speed project may well receive extra funding... whilst in the UK, the HS2 project takes a bashing with talk of the loss of a good few pages from the final report. Still, not so many sacrificial goats will be needed....(you'll have to read the article to appreciate the comment!
And whilst yesterday's news contained stories on rail fare rises (and Tfl adds its own fares rise details) one blogger says that fare rises are a good thing!(which will please the train operating companies no end!)...and as to whether your next planned trip is cheaper by rail or air........maybe research dollars will `yield a useful response.......
