Peter's Railway now sponsors Steam Tube

Today's news is a little later "off the press". Apologies.

Steam Tube and Christian Wolmar were invited participants at the Fawley Hill event.. the home of  Sir William and Lady McAlpine.

A large attendance enjoyed the sight of Engine No 31 regularly climbing  the steep gradient, saw camel racing(!), traction engines, vintage cars, buses, tractors, lorries, and other fairground attractions. Many took the opportunity to visit the large museum containing countless items of railway memorabilia. The event was expertly marshalled by the Ghurkas.
No doubt the supported charities benefitted from the generosity of those attending and the hosts of the event, Sir William and Lady McAlpine.
