GE Transportation at Innotrans 2014

GE Transportation will be attending this year's Innotrans from September 23-26th at Stand 501 in Hall 6.2a. Our booth will serve as a showcase for some of our groundbreaking global innovations as we continue to develop solutions that will deliver the most value for our customers.

Technology that will be represented under global locomotives will include our heavy-haul locomotives, the Evolution Series, our medium weight and lightweight locomotives, the PowerHaul and C-Series, and emerging technology such as the our dual-fuel locomotive retrofit, NextFuel.

Trackside at InnoTrans, we will feature one of our PowerHaul locomotives. This locomotive is one of GE Transportation’s most technologically advanced, fuel-efficient and low-emissions diesel-electric locomotive to date. Designed for high-haulage capability with lighter axle-load applications, the PowerHaul Series Locomotive is engineered to generate more HP and tractive effort while lowering fuel consumption and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

GE Transportation’s signaling solutions will showcase state of the art products that ensure safe, reliable yet optimized and cost efficient movement of trains. Included in the showcase is Tempo, a complete portfolio of solutions for the global signaling and train control market for mass transit and mainline transit (passenger and freight) where ETCS (European Train Control System) is required, including a Computer-Based Interlocking system. This next-generation solution is an integrated and modular signaling and control system, designed to simplify service operations and increase its efficiency. Earlier this year, GE was selected by Singapore’s Land Transport Authority to supply Tempo CBTC (Communication-Based Train Control) to support fully automated driverless train operation for its new transit line, the Thomson Line.

We will be featuring a connected suite of solutions that provide railroads with data-driven insights to address key customer pain points like velocity, fuel, utilization, productivity, and dwell.  These solutions are part of RailConnect 360.  And all RailConnect 360 solutions leverage GE’s Predix platform to use advanced software, powerful analytics and mobility to enable better decisions and improve outcomes along the entire rail enterprise.

We look forward to seeing you at Innotrans!
