Toll Royal Railways(Cambodia)
News update.(12/12/14)
Chief Executive Officer David Kerr today announced the purchase of a second Handwave Ultrasonic Rail Test Unit. The second Ultrasonic Rail Test unit was purchased from C.A.T.E.R Fairclough Corporation and training has been undertaken by Toll Royal Railway employees in Perth (Australia) during November 2014. The purchase of the second Ultrasonic Rail Test unit allows for the two units to be coupled and towed in DRT (Dual Operation) behind a trolley or high-rail vehicle. The first Ultrasonic Rail Test unit allowed the company to identify rail defects but the purchase of the second unit will allow the testing to be conducted more frequently and over a shorter period of time and to a higher degree of accuracy and will ensure that areas or risk are identified and then steps can be taken to eliminate, mitigate or manage risk thus ensuring the safety of the railway network.
