New 1,500 acre RSPB nature reserve at Wallasea Island in Essex Crossrail has taken another step towards the creation of a new 1,500 acre RSPB nature reserve with the completion of a new 180 metre jetty at Wallasea Island in Essex. The jetty will receive in the order of 4.5 million tonnes of material excavated during Crossrail’s tunnelling operations in London.

Crossrail today submitted a planning application to Westminster City Council for a major over-site development at Paddington.

Crossrail Award Lifts Contracts
Crossrail and Transport for London (TfL) today awarded a major contract to Kone for around 50 lifts for the new Crossrail stations as well as five lifts for Bank, Greenford and Hammersmith Tube stations.
