Alstom

Alstom has been awarded an order from the Swiss federal railway operator, SBB, to supply 8 additional New Pendolino high speed trains that will be added to the existing fleet of 7 trains already owned by SBB.

Alstom T&D India Limited announced its financial results on July 27, 2012, for the first quarter ended June 2012, following approval by the Company’s Board of Directors.

The Savigliano site in Cuneo has recently started the production of three new Coradia Meridian regional trains for GTT (Gruppo Torinese Transporti), the suburban public transport operator for the Piedmont Region, according to the contract signed in July 2011.

CalAmp to provide mobile comms system for Rio Tinto upgrade

COLLECTIVE Transport Production (KTP), the organisation responsible for Oslo's metro, light rail, and bus operations, has awarded Invensys Rail two contracts worth a total of €13.4m.

ROMANIA's Ministry of Transport has appointed a consortium of PwC, David & Baias and George Butunoiu to recruit directors general and non-executive directors for 10 state-owned transport companies, four of which are in the rail sector.
