Japan to provide $2.1bn loan for Dhaka metro rail project Japan has agreed to provide a $2.1bn loan for the construction of the $2.7bn Dhaka Metro rail system in Bangladesh. 
      
ABB to install rectifier units on Polish railway network
Swiss power and automation technology firm ABB has won a $39m contract from PKP Energetyka, the main power supplier to Polish railroad operators, to supply 138 rectifier units for DC traction substations on the Polish rail network.
