"Future Priorities for the WCML: Released Capacity from a Potential High Speed Line"
is the title of a report from Passenger Focus and Network Rail.
Colin Foxall, Passenger Focus Chairman, in the foreward to the 76 page report, notes that if the new high speed line goes ahead, real improvements could be made on the existing services on the West Coast Main Line. Views of both rail users, and car users, was sought in compiling the report, which will be used by Network Rail to identify areas where significant improvements could be made for the benefit of future rail users.
