It has been an interesting couple of days in India, following the Railway Budget ...was the minister still in his job...or not....
www.railwaygazette.com fills out the details of the budget , and the reasons for the fare increases.
As to whether Dinesh Trivedi remains at his post.....we shall have to wait and see.....

And at the opening of  Felixstowe's North Rail Terminal today,  Off-peak passenger trains between Felixtowe and Ipswich should be replaced by a high-quality bus service to free up the line for more freight services, says Hutchison Ports UK CEO, David Gledhill .
 
Describing the Felixstowe-Ipswich branch line as a bottleneck, he said that while there were plans to upgrade the route, these were prohibitively expensive. Read more at IFW....
