53 years ago (1959) British Railways (Eastern Region) closed
most of the Midland & Great Northern Joint Railway.
This was taken from the Up platform of Weybourne station and show 5619 on the inspection pit for oiling and the blower on raising steam. The signals are replicas of those used on the Midland & Great Northern Joint Railway (180 miles) of which the North Norfolk Railway is a 5.5 mile preserved fragment.
